Description
It’s not really a class, it’s more of a friendly explainer session. Grab a cup of tea and come find out what Sketch Club is all about (and meet Ruben, my studio dog, who sometimes interrupts class).
The kit you need
- Sketchbooks: why I love a small A6 or A5 watercolour sketchbook, portrait or landscape, and my favourite 100% cotton paper
- Paints: the vibrant watercolours I use, plus a minimal five-colour palette that does almost everything
- Pens and ink: how a fude pen gives you thick and thin lines, why your ink must be waterproof, and how to unclog a pen
- Brushes: squirrel brushes for beautiful flat skies, and water brushes for sketching standing up
- The one non-negotiable: a white gel pen for rescuing mistakes
How Sketch Club works
- One live class a month, on the second Monday at 5pm Irish time, lasting about 90 minutes
- Every class is recorded, and the recording is emailed to members straight after class, so it doesn’t matter if you can’t make it live
- Everything we sketch is drawn from life: markets, people on the train, seascapes, flowers, food and the odd old master
- A private Facebook group just for members, where everyone shares their sketches after class, plus members-only socials
- €12.50 a month, charged on the 1st. Cancel any time before the 1st of the month
Add this free session to your cart and check out, and you’ll get access to the recording.
