I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop about wet-in-wet watercolor a couple of weeks ago. Sketching from Róisín’s sketch was easy and fun. I ended up learning about more than wet-in-wet, but also about leaving white space and painting shadows. It really helped me to reconnect with watercolors!

Thank you Elizabeth, I am very happy to hear you enjoyed the class. I try to keep everything easy as the most important thing in my book is to keep everything fun and not to lose confidence. I am also happy to hear it helped you reconnect with watercolors – they are so pretty! And thank you so much for passing on the word, it’s very much appreciated 🙂

Attending Roisin’s Wednesday zoom sessions have been the highlight of my week and I have attended four so far. I cannot recommend her classes enough! Roisin is such a great teacher sharing her knowledge with great ease and simplicity which makes it an enjoyable experience for a beginner like myself. The classes have been alot of fun and it’s great to always see the same familiar faces from previous sessions tuning in from around the world. Beforehand Roisin emails us with some background information on the topic we’ll be learning about which gives me a better understanding going into the lesson. During the class we go through the different exercises sketching and painting scenes to help us apply what we’re learning. I laugh to my self when Roisin shows us the scene we’re going to create thinking there is no way I’m going to do that. But I do, and we all do it together! It’s amazing! I think one of the best things i’m seeing is how my daily sketches have improved with everything I’ve learned from Roisin who continuously tells us to be confident and keep going. Thanks very much Roisin these sessions have been amazing!

Nadine what can I say…thank you so much. That is such a wonderful comment. I intend to use it someplace! It’s been such a pleasure having you too. And I agree – it’s human to want to make connections so it’s a big plus to see the same faces every week, which is why – if I can – I prefer when people sign on in advance. But it’s only the beginning. See you on Wednesday!

I have been on the last 3 Wednesday classes with Roisin and a pretty international group of people wanting to learn and improve sketching virtually and it has been a great joined up and enthusiastic experience so far. I really admire Rosin’s work and she is a great teacher with varied sketch challenges and tips for us each week. We have been transported virtually to the green fields/stone walls of Galway, Sissinghurst Gardens(Kent), a cafe and most recently The Long Walk(Galway), getting to grips with doors, windows and perspective. Really enjoyable class and lovely to see the same friendly faces each week and all the different approaches to the same topic with always lovely results. Thanks Roisin for doing the classes since we can’t travel to do workshops in the current circumstances. Keep up the great classes.

Fiona that is the most beautiful comment. Thank you so much. I simply loving having you all each week and as you say, we are the same group every week, which is such a nice way to be together at this time! I feel very lucky to have this technology at my fingertips and a fabulous (new!) studio to teach you from. You’re a super bunch and I certainly will keep it up – I have so many ideas! See you Wednesday!
