Join me for a guided sketch-tour of Dublin City, where I spent six months gathering sketches for my latest book, An Urban Sketcher’s Dublin. Each week we will study a new scene from the hustle and bustle of beautiful Dublin: Georgian buildings, medieval churches, streets thronged with shoppers, esteemed centres of learning.
If you like what I do and want to know ALL my secrets then get your pens and watercolours ready, hit “join” and step into my studio – from wherever you are in the world.
– How to choose a good spot in a busy city
– Handling onlookers of all shapes and sizes
– How to choose a strong, meaningful composition
– Mastering drawing and new approaches
– Creating a great colour palette
– Handling watercolour
– Capturing people on the move
– Storytelling (and of course I’ll share my own)
You’ll meet the wonderful students who have already signed up, and enjoy a few hours of great creativity in great company in the middle of the week. As I write there are only a few spaces left, so if you are free on Wednesday and want to sign up, don’t delay.
My book will be published later this year but after the term you’ll have the pleasure of spotting your own versions of Dublin scenes in the book.
