Today we’re drawing this seemingly-complicated scene from the docks in Galway City. No need to be alarmed – it’s perfectly doable once we follow the same drawing technique I use for everything.
You’ll need an ink pen with any colour waterproof ink you like. I like Document Ink Brown and Urban Grey by De Atramentis. I love my fude 55-degree pen but you don’t have to use one of those.
You’ll also need watercolour paint in all kinds of colours. I might even use a pop of neon acrylic ink for the bright orange buoys but any orange is great!
Use nice watercolour paper in the best quality you have, try not to use one less than 200g / 90lb.
I also found my white gel pen very useful.
See you then – or in the recording!
