Description
Hello Sketchers,
In the winter months, you don’t need much of an excuse to pop into a café and get a delicious coffee and a croissant. So much the better if you sketch those cosy, atmospheric interiors while you’re there.
I received a lovely surprise in the post yesterday – the second edition of my book Dublin In Sketches And Stories arrived in my mailbox. I was in town for an appointment in the morning, so afterwards I took the opportunity to nip into C’est La Vie to have a look (my favourite café in Galway) and ordered a flat white. Within a minute a beautiful young barista had noticed the book on my table, and began to flick through it. She was delighted, and offered me a second coffee on the house…and then, when I asked if anyone would mind me drawing, the lovely young barista said “Not only do I not mind, I WANT you to draw here!”
So I did.
This is the result.
In Saturday’s class, I’m going to show you some cool tips for successful café sketching. Come along and see for yourself!
I’ll send you the things you’ll need when you book.
À bientôt!
