I wrote a piece yesterday about my new comic, Wild Atlantic Ink. The response was amazing! The comic arrives from the printer today and will be sent out to you wherever you are in the world on Wednesday 13th May.
There were a few questions and I am hoping to answer them in one place:
- What’s the cost of postage? Postage is included anywhere in the world in the cover price of €10.99 monthly / €120 annual subscription.
- Is it a physical comic or digital? Physical, paper, hold it in your hand.
- Is it also available as a PDF? Not at the moment.
- What’s the theme of the comic? Life, in comic-strip stories and art, of a tiny stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way on the western edge of Ireland. Maps, wild food, festivals, the Burren, flora and fauna, painting and drawing activities.
- Will the painting and drawing activities be repeated in your online Sketch Club? Nope.
- Is it suitable for children? Yes, although it’s not written with children in mind. Nature-loving, arty kids would like it I think.
- What’s the format? 16 pages, 148mm x 210mm (5.8” x 8.3”), 140g paper
- Can I subscribe at any time? Yes – and you’ll be on that month’s list as long as you sign up before 13th of each month.
- Can I cancel at any time? Of course. But you must do it yourself!
- Can I pause my subscription? Maybe in theory, but I have no idea how that would work.
- Is the comic sent by tracked mail? No. It would add an extra €20 to the price and I don’t want two lists of names, one for tracked and one for untracked. But maybe there’s a way around it – maybe I could send a pdf if your comic doesn’t arrive.
- Can I add other things to my order, like the Sketch Club booklets? Yes, but they’ll be sent separately (postage is included so you’re not losing out).
- Can I give a gift of a subscription to someone? Yes – it would be a lovely gift to receive this once a month for a whole year.
